When you remember who you are, the desire to chase, to grasp and to yearn stops. You remember that you are a child of God and were created to fulfill a very special purpose. You remember that one of the great promises of Life is that you will be provided for as you walk along the path of your dreams. The fearful mind calms and the mind full of faith emerges.

In thoughts of Little Benny on this Memorial Day
It's been a year since my man has left, but the pain still hits as if it was this morning. I was blessed to not only to watch him perform over and over in the beginning, but to later share his stage, first with Little Benny & The Masters and then later with Proper Utensils.
There are people God allows you to share chapters of your life with, and only God knows why he brings them there and them takes them away. Yet it is God who I continue to think for allowing those sharing moments to be.
Although I didn't get to make it all the way out there to the tribute ceremony held with a host of his family and friends at Marygold's last night, that bares no weight on the impact that this man has made on practically my entire life. Straight up. So... thank you, God for those moments. And thank you, God for Little Benny!
Below, I am sharing some youtube video clips found on the web, of just a few many moments that I was able to share the stage with Benny:

How Hard Can You Get Hit & Keep Moving Forward
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, or nobody, is gonna hit as hard as life.
But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!
Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers, saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that... and that ain’t you!” -Rocky Balboa
